The Joseon king, Yi Heon, bans marriage because he still loves the late Crown Princess and can't bring himself to pick a new queen.

So Rang officially starts working at the palace as a court lady; her duty is to make sure Heon eats well, sleeps well, and to help him talk to Ja Yeon.

Shin Won suspects that So Rang is really Hyun Sun; Heon is told to go on a hunt to prove his strength without a queen, but something goes wrong at the hunt, and So Rang gets hurt and needs a doctor.

Shin Won doesn't want So Rang to sleep with Heon, even if he is the King; he and Heon clash over her; a rumor goes around Hanyang that the Crown Princess's ghost is seen; Shin Won and So Rang try to find who started it.

The appearance of Ja Yeon's ghost stirs up the palace; Shin Won and So Rang investigate thoroughly to prove to Heon that she is not real.
