In 1922, Irish separatists force Britain to retreat from most of the island of Ireland. However, the moment of independence quickly turns into a ruthless civil war.

The Irish Civil War starts with the attack on the Four Courts, as the Irish National Army carried out a continuous assault on the republican stronghold.

The National Army continues to push the anti-treaty IRA to the edges of the country after the death of Collin and the eventual creation of the Irish Free State.
