In 1979 Germany, a senior Israeli intelligence operative investigates a bombing in Bonn's diplomatic quarter. A young actor encounters a stranger on a Greek beach, and gets drawn into an espionage operation.

Charlie learns that `Joseph' is really Gadi Becker; Charlie has to infiltrate a dangerous cell, and she must pose as Becker's lover.

Charlie drives explosives over the border to Austria and Becker tries to save her from her potentially fatal mistake.

Confused by her feelings for Becker, Charlie manages to get deeper into Michel's network but worries about her performance.

Charlie earns the family's trust while deep undercover and trained by militia, with no one to save her if she is discovered.

Charlie prepares herself for the next strike by training with Khalil's group, but no longer knows for sure which side she's on.
