Follows the oldest regiment in the British Army, The Coldstream Guards, by shadowing a group of raw teenage recruits, high-ranking officers and aspiring army leaders as they fulfil their royal duties and their ceremonial roles.

News breaks of the death of HRH Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, and instantly the Coldstream Guards begin to prepare for his funeral. With 30 years of experience, Garrison Sergeant Major Vern Stokes is in charge of the event.

Having finished training, 25 Platoon pass out from Catterick, ready to start their new lives in Central London, living only metres away from Buckingham Palace; officer cadets have to learn to survive and lead their men in Wales.

First Time For Everything
Rehearsals for the Queen's Birthday Parade are ramping up, with more than 300 guardsmen and horses involved. In Catterick, new recruits arrive for day one of a 28-week infantry training program.

It's finally the big day in Windsor and all eyes are on the Coldstream Guards as they lead the procession for the Queen's Birthday Parade. A Sandhurst graduate has to impress as he leads his 30-strong platoon for the first time in the field.
