The Sentinels

In 1915, Gabriel Ferraud, a soldier in the French army, was seriously wounded at the front. He was then selected to join a top-secret army research project.

Gabriel must join the Sentinels Brigade if he wants to see his family again, who think he is dead; after the attack on the military laboratory, an investigation is launched, which does not please Colonel Mirreau, head of the Sentinels program.

Gabriel's wife, Irene, decides to investigate the cause of her husband's death; captured by the French, Gruber, a German spy, is interrogated about the enemy program.

The General Staff order the elimination of the German superman, now the Sentinels' primary threat. But while hunting their target, the Sentinels don't realize they are about to confront the Übermensch, an enemy of unimaginable strength.

Irène digs into a case involving Mirreau that may involve state secrets; at the cabaret Les Damnés, the Baron discovers that Gisèle has fled; after a defeat in the field, Gabriel wants to return to Paris to see his wife and son.

The Sentinels race to rescue Mazauric, who spearheaded the Dyxenal research, before he gives the Germans vital information about the French serum.
