Promised in marriage to the newly crowned King Henry VII in hopes that it will unite the kingdom, Princess Elizabeth, aka Lizzie, instead resents and plots against him. She matches wits and wills with his mother, each manoeuvring to gain his trust.

The York princesses are married off to strengthen the Tudor cause, King Henry moves to the battlefield to protect his reign, and Lizzie learns the threats she and her husband face may be closer to home.

Lizzie contends with her mother's steadfast defence of the York cause, while a boy in Burgundy claiming to be a young prince threatens to further destabilise King Henry's rule.

English Blood on English Soil
King Henry VII and Lizzie attempt to secure their son's betrothal in Spain, while growing unrest in Burgundy spills over into an English battle.
