When Theo unearths an ancient amulet while in Egypt with her family, she begins to suspect that the relic might be cursed. After returning home to London, a burglary attempt leads Theo to question everything.

Believing her father is cursed, Theo, her brother Henry, street-magician Will, and Egyptian princess Safiya seek a cure at a mysterious thief's home.

After recovering an ancient book of spells, Theo puts her new-found powers to the test to defeat her father's curse. When the magic works a little too well, Theo must rescue a transformed Safiya from being sent away for good.

After falling through a magical portal, Will and Henry are whisked away to the Valley of the Kings. Back in London, Theo and Safiya must work together to bring the boys home safely.

While enjoying a table-tennis tournament at the Penny Arcade, Theo and her friends uncover that sinister forces are spying on them.

As the Throckmortons prepare for a visit with an important official who could ensure their ticket back to Egypt, Theo contends with visions concerning her destiny and the Eye of Horus.
