As spring arrives, Mole and his friends paint his burrow. But while they are immersed in their work, the weasels look for for a chance to play a prank on them.

Ratty takes his friends out for a boat trip and insists, as captain, that what he says goes. However, he finds that listening to his friends is the way to save the day when the boat crashes on some rocks.

When Toad decides to camp near the riverbank and live a simple life, the Weasels grab the opportunity to take over Toad Hall.

Toad recruits his friends to help him make a superhero film, but they leave him due to his overbearing ego. But when the Weasels trick Toad, he finds himself in a pickle without the help of his friends.

Eager to experience the thrill of flying, Hedge tests Toad's newly acquired power kite. Unfortunately, this helps the Weasels come up with an idea to enter Toad Hall.

Everyone is determined to win the annual regatta race, especially the previous winner, Ratty. But even he has to learn that winning isn't the only goal.
