Ryo Arikino is assigned to interpret for a Chinese suspect at the International Investigation Division of the East Shinjuku Police Department.

Arikino Ryo, a Chinese interpreter for the Metropolitan Police Department, meets Koda Mari, a green-haired woman. This woman is actually a police officer on an international investigation. Their personalities are completely different.

A young child with a Japanese father and Chinese mother is kidnapped. Arikino acts as an interpreter for the mother and gets closer to the strange incident.

As time passes after Shun's kidnapping, frustration mount among those working on the case; Wang, involved with a shadowy organisation, plans to return to the mainland with a Chinese woman.

Koda visits a care facility to question Tien, a Vietnamese employee accused of stealing. During the interrogation, the interpreter spots bruises on Tien's body and believes the case may be more complex than they initially thought.

Elementary school student Koda meets Suhyun, the daughter of a nearby Korean food store, and is fascinated by the dishes she has never seen before. However, one day, Suhyun's family is arrested.
