Where Are You Really From?

Comedian Michael Hing visits the historic gold rush town of Bendigo, Victoria, where the Chinese migrated to in the late 1800s. Whereas Michael's ancestors moved away from the country town, he speaks to the families who stuck it out.

Hing heads to Woolgoolga, a town of approximately 4500 people and the home of Australia's largest regional settlement of Sikhs. Now a community of blueberry barons, Woolgoolga produces 75 percent of Australia's blueberries.

Toowoomba's Sudanese community has rapidly grown over the past two decades. The media's fearmongering over 'African youth' in Australia has caused hardships for them, but the community is fighting to reclaim their image.

Michael meets with Italian families that overcame racism and World War II internment, and now make up the backbone of a far north Queensland town.
