On 25 November 2011, Johan Gustafsson set off from his native Sweden on an adventure of a lifetime: a motorbike trip across Africa. But his dream journey turned into a nightmare when he was kidnapped by Al-Qaeda, along with a South African and a Dutchman. What followed was a terrible ordeal of over five years of captivity in the Sahara desert.
