Eastern European visitor Viktor arrives in New York only to find that his papers are no longer valid. Rules being rules, airport chief Dixon can't let Viktor into America, or let him leave. Viktor has to survive by his wits, and slowly becomes the darling of the airport, as his sweet nature charms all who work there - except Dixon.
