Soccer player Alexandra Patricia Morgan was born in San Dimas, California, and grew up east of Los Angeles, in a town called Diamond Bar. Morgan began to play soccer at an early age and joined a local club. In high school Morgan was athletic, and was named an All American athlete by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Morgan attended UC Berkeley, and played for the women's soccer team. She graduated early and was the first draft pick in the 2011 WPS Draft, and was chosen by the Western New York Flash. She then played for the Seattle Sounders, the Portland Thorns, and the Orlando Pride. She was the youngest player to compete in the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2011 at age 22. As of May 2016 she was the 6th and the youngest American soccer player to score 20 goals in a single year. Morgan also wrote a YA book series about young girls who play soccer. Morgan was married to fellow soccer player Servando Carrasco. In 2015 Morgan was one of the three first women put on the cover of a FIFA video game, FIFA '16. As of spring 2016, Morgan was slated to represent the United States in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio di Janeiro. In 2016 Morgan's cartoon avatar appeared in an episode of "The Simpsons" (Fox, 1990-)
