Pell James

Born and raised in Virginia, Pell James is a strikingly beautiful blonde actress who started her career in the same way that many aspiring screen stars before her did--with a brief guest appearance on the long-running New York City-set crime TV series "Law & Order." After a supporting turn in the 2003 feature comedy "Uptown Girls," also filmed in the Big Apple, James returned to the "Law & Order" franchise with a guest spot on an episode of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and had a small part in the dramatic TV movie "Strip Search," directed by Sidney Lumet. In 2005, James found her first substantial screen role in the moody indie film "The King," which had her working closely with actors Gael Garcia Bernal and Paul Dano. The same year, James portrayed one of the leads in the romantic drama "Undiscovered," playing Brier Tucket, an aspiring actress trying to make it in Los Angeles. Although James appeared in some little-seen productions, including the films "Surveillance" and "Shrink," she also turned up in bit parts of the well-regarded dramas "Broken Flowers" and "Zodiac," giving her career a boost. In 2011, James was featured in another high-profile project--the hit legal drama "The Lincoln Lawyer," starring Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei.
