"Rafaël" is an exciting story about dreams, determination and unbridled love. Based on true events, it tells the heartbreaking and unbelievable story of the Kimmy and Nazir, which became global news in 2011, and later went on to be published in a heart-rending novel of the same name by writer Christine Otten. When, at the beginning of the Arab Spring, Tunisian Nazir is not granted a visa to attend the birth of his son in the Netherlands, he decides to cross illegally into Europe. During this hellish journey he only receives help from his heavily pregnant wife. Some flashing lights sequences or patterns may affect photosensitive viewers.
