Waves of War

Daan (30) and Joenoes (32) became friends as actors in feature film The East about the Indonesian War of Independence. Together they travel back to Indonesia, following in the footsteps of their grandfathers, who fought for the Netherlands against Indonesian independence. Their journey confronts them with complexities of "right and wrong" and the lasting impact of the colonial past.
