Ben Holmes

Ben Holmes worked on a variety of projects during his entertainment career. Holmes began his career writing for films like the Charles Ruggles musical "Melody Cruise" (1933) and "Cockeyed Cavaliers" (1934). Next came "The Plot Thickens" (1936), "There Goes My Girl" (1937) and "Little Orphan Annie" (1938) with Ann Gillis. He also appeared in the Louis Hayward mystery "The Saint in New York" (1938). In the thirties and the fortiesLater in his career, Holmes wrote the mystery "Saint's Double Trouble" (1940) with George Sanders. Holmes passed away in December 1943 at the age of 53.
