Jean Gaven

Jean Gaven was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In his early acting career, Gaven appeared in such films as "Obsession" (1954) with Michèle Morgan, "Si Tous les Gars du Monde. ." (1956) and "The Wild Oat" (1956). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Girl on the Third Floor" (1958) with Marina Vlady and the period drama "The Witches of Salem" (1958) with Simone Signoret. He continued to act in productions like the Dany Carrel dramatic adaptation "A Trap For Cinderella" (1965), the thriller "Le Passager de la Pluie" (1970) with Marlene Jobert and "Ou est passe Tom?" (1971). He also appeared in the Jean-Claude Bouillon action flick "Un Aller Simple" (1971) and "La Course du lievre a travers les champs" (1972). During the latter part of his career, he continued to act in "Histoire d'O" (1975), "Les Mal Partis" (1975) and "Madame Claude" (1977). He also appeared in "Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?" (1978) with George Segal and "One Deadly Summer" (1983) with Isabelle Adjani. Gaven more recently acted in the Laetitia Gabrielli comedic drama "Juillet en Septembre" (1988).
