John DeSantis

It is hard not to notice Canadian actor John DeSantis when he walks onto set. At almost seven feet, he is one of the tallest actors in Canada, and his physical stature has brought him many roles that utilize his height. In his 2010 appearance on the comedy "Psych," he was simply credited as the Seven Foot Tall Man in the episode "Dual Spires." His first film role was in the 1999 American action adventure fantasy "The 13th Warrior," about a group of monster-slaying Norse Warriors, set in AD 922. DeSantis played the role of Ragnar the Dour. He is best known for his role on the late 1990s American/Canadian television series "The New Addams Family." DeSantis played the role of Lurch, the towering family servant, for 64 episodes. Television work has dominated DeSantis' resume since then, with his next major television role being that of Thorne on "Blade: The Series" during the show's only season in 2006. In 2009, he was asked to portray another iconic character, Frankenstein, in the comedy horror film "Stan Helsing." His character lives in a town occupied by history's most popular cinematic monsters. Continuing to parlay his appearance into television and film roles, DeSantis has found how to turn his trademark into a successful career.
