Oliver Muirhead

Oliver Muirhead is one of those actors millions of viewers have enjoyed onscreen multiple times without ever realizing it. Ever see "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me"? Then you've seen Muirhead, who played the small role of a British colonel in the film. How about David Fincher's "The Social Network"? Or the Nicolas Cage action caper "National Treasure: Book of Secrets"? Muirhead, like all great character actors, has woven himself into the background of a large number of films stretching from the great to the silly (his role as the butler in 2007's "Alvin and the Chipmunks" comes to mind). Muirhead's first role was in the 1989 Tony Danza comedy "She's Out of Control." He would go on to work with Danza again, appearing on his sitcom "Who's the Boss" in 1990 and 1991. "Seinfeld," "Will & Grace," "Married with Children," and "Friends" all featured Muirhead in at least one episode. Muirhead has also done a considerable amount of voiceover work for animated series, most notable among them "Spider-Man" in 1996 and 1997. He has additionally lent his voice to various video games such as "Dead to Rights," "The Hobbit," and "Eragon." Muirhead has also worked extensively as a journalist, writing under the pseudonym George Mole.
