Kemono Jihen

Kohachi Inugami, a detective specializing in the occult, is sent to investigate a rash of unusual animal deaths in a remote mountain village; he meets an unusual boy nicknamed Dorotabo, who is ostracized by the other children.

Police Station Superintendent Inari, herself a kitsune Kemono, asks to meet Kabane at the station, but it becomes clear she has an ulterior motive when she asks to see his life stone.

The team helps a love-struck client track down the object of his affection; Akira patterns himself after Kabane, and the two are assigned a case.

When the vampire Mihai, a longtime acquaintance of Inugami's, stays at the office, Kabane and the others wind up in an arm-wrestling competition with him.
