Jaz Sinclair

Actress Jaz Sinclair played self-assured young women on both sides of the moral fence in such crowd-pleasing film and television projects as "When the Bough Breaks" (2016) and "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" (Netflix, 2018-). Born Jasmine Sinclair Sabino in Dallas, Texas she was active in her school theater programs, which led to roles in several short film projects. Convinced that her future lay in acting, Sinclair headed west to Los Angeles in 2012, where she was featured in two episodes of the HBO documentary series "Masterclass" (2010-14). Her screen-acting debut came in 2014 with an appearance on the short-lived science fiction series "Revolution" (NBC, 2012-14), which was soon followed by a supporting role in the feature "Paper Towns" (2015), based on the popular young adult novel of the same name by John Green. Sinclair quickly graduated to more mature roles, playing an obsessive babysitter who terrorized marrieds Morris Chestnut and Regina Hall in the thriller "When the Bough Breaks" (2016) and making an appearance on "Easy" (Netflix, 2016-) Joe Swanberg's series about adults and their often complicated sex lives. She returned to features in 2018 for the horror film "Slender Man" (2018), playing a victim of the pop culture boogeyman, before reteaming with Netflix on "The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina." The series, based on the long-running Harvey Comics title - which also served as the basis for the more light-hearted "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" (ABC, 1996-2003) - starred Kiernan Shipka of "Mad Men" (AMC, 2007-2015) as a darker, more supernaturally inclined Sabrina, and Sinclair as Roz, her politically conscious best friend.
