The life of a magazine editor takes an unexpected turn when his fiancée breaks up with him at their engagement party. Depressed, he quits his job, and starts writing a letter to his ex, which makes him decide to write a book on break-ups. Things get out of control when the book becomes a bestseller and his friends start to view him as some kind of relationship guru.
