For the challenge contestants will have 75 minutes to create a dish using at least one of the cereals from today’s Mystery Box.

Only Seven contestants walk through the door for the first Mystery Box of the season.

It’s Mystery Box day, and upon arrival, our home cooks are greeted by an enormous Mystery Box, the biggest ever in MasterChef history, marking the start of Big Week.

Contestants have 45 minutes on Day 1 to prepare elements of their dish and leave them overnight for 14 hours. They then have 60 minutes on Day 2 to finish their dish.

Continuing Big Week, the contestants enter the MasterChef Kitchen and find it empty with a plinth at the top of the room.

The winning team from yesterday’s challenge arrive to find the MasterChef kitchen all lit up!
