I Want to Die Alone

After her aunt's solitary death, Narumi Yamaguchi starts looking for a husband. However, when her search proves unsuccessful, she begins to prepare for the end of her life by herself.

Narumi realises her parents are ageing and feels unprepared to care for them, so she plans to get them ready for old age.

Narumi's father, Kazuo, does not see why his single daughter should not quit her job to look after him, should he need care. Once Nasuda confronts him with harsh truths about modern elder care, he begins to rethink things.

Narumi attempts to talk her mother out of a divorce, but instead fans the flames. Noticing her dependence on Nasuda, Narumi decides to do some things for herself and goes to see her ex.
