Four people sit together at a bar: lovers Kyoya and Akira and newlyweds Kosei and Kureha. As they come together to celebrate Kureha's marriage, Akira reflects on her relationship with Kyoya and her own thoughts on marriage.

Akira goes to work with a determined mindset and submits a request for work improvements to the boss, but people regard her actions as a momentary act of rebellion.

Akira's complaints lands her a promotion to Special Chief Creator, but she finds herself unable to voice her frustrations to Kyoya; Kosei's day takes a sharp turn when his uncle unexpectedly shows up at the office with news of his long-lost brother.

Kyoya crosses a river that he should not cross, and leaves his mobile phone at the other person's house. Akira, who knows nothing, tries to find Kyoya's phone for him.

The time has come for Akira to confront Shuri, but her emotional pleas for staying at Kyoya's place remind Akira of their stark differences. Kosei reels from a beating at the hands of Kyoya. Kosei suspects that there is more to Kureha's husband.

Kureha catches Akira and Kosei in the middle of a kiss, Kosei uncovers a disturbing rumour about Kureha's marriage, and Kyoya finds himself unable to tell Akira that he has moved out of his apartment.
