Daniel Webber

Australian actor Daniel Webber's gallery of emotionally and at times morally conflicted characters on projects like "Sleeping Beauty" (2011) and "Home and Away" (Seven Network, 1988-) led to his American television debut as presidential assassin Lee Harvey Oswald on "11.22.63" (Hulu, 2016-). Born Daniel Peter Webber in Gosford, New South Wales, Australia, he began his career on television, with guest roles on the long-running medical drama "All Saints" (Seven Network, 1998-2004) and "K-9" (Network 10/Channel 5, 2009-2010), a British-Australian children's program spun off from the long-running "Doctor Who" (BBC One, 1963-1989, 2005-) series. A minor role in the crime drama "The Combination" (2009), about gangsters in Australia's Lebanese community, increased his profile, and was soon followed by more substantive roles in features like "Sleeping Beauty" (2011) before making his debut as a leading man in "Deceit" (2013), playing a recently released convict who becomes involved in a complex scam. Webber added to his growing list of troubled characters in 2015 with a season-long run on the popular Australian soap "Home and Away" (Seven Network, 1988-) as an deranged fan of aspiring singer Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovanazzo). While filming a slew of independent features in his native country, Webber was tapped to play Lee Harvey Oswald in a limited-series adaptation of Stephen King's "11.22.63" for producer J.J. Abrams.
