Gavin Gordon

Gavin Gordon was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Gordon began his acting career with roles in such films as "Chasing Through Europe" (1929), "His First Command" (1929) and the dramatic adaptation "Romance" (1930) with Greta Garbo. He also appeared in "The Silver Horde" (1930), "Shipmates" (1931) and "The Great Meadow" (1931). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "Bordertown" (1934), "Wake Up and Dream" (1934) and "Happiness Ahead" (1934) with Dick Powell. He also appeared in the Marlene Dietrich historical film "The Scarlet Empress" (1934). Nearing the end of his career, he tackled roles in the musical comedy "Knock on Wood" (1954) with Danny Kaye, the Bing Crosby musical comedy "White Christmas" (1954) and the musical "There's No Business Like Show Business" (1954) with Ethel Merman. He also appeared in the comedy "High Society" (1955) with Leo Gorcey and the Dean Martin comedy "Pardners" (1956). Gordon last acted in "The Nutty Professor" (1963). Gordon passed away in April 1983 at the age of 82.
