Ashley Parker Angel

While growing up in rural Northern California, Ashley Parker Angel began performing in plays in and around his hometown of Redding. Angel gravitated towards performing at a very young age, but found that Redding afforded few opportunities for actors who sought greater success. So when Working Designs, a Redding-based video game design company, began holding open casting calls for voice actors, Angel jumped on the opportunity to audition. Before long Angel was lending his voice to fantasy adventure video games like "Lunar: The Silver Star," "Vay," and "Popful Mail." Soon after, Angel signed with an acting agent and started regularly auditioning for film and television roles, as well. In 2000 he became a member of the boy band, O-Town, whose formation was chronicled in the ABC reality series, "Making the Band." The success of the show made Angel an instant heartthrob, and in the years to come he appeared on various television shows, including "Total Request Live," "Celebrity Cooking Showdown," as well as his very own MTV reality show, "There & Back: Ashley Parker Angel." By the late 2000s Angel decided to put his music career on hold, so he could focus more on his acting. In 2010 he appeared as one of the leads in the straight-to-DVD drama, "Wild Things: Foursome," and in 2011 starred alongside Frankie Muniz in the family comedy, "Pizza Man."
