Robert Burton

Robert Burton was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Burton began his acting career with roles in such films as "Above and Beyond" (1952), the comedy "Fearless Fagan" (1952) with Janet Leigh and the drama "My Man and I" (1952) with Shelley Winters. He also appeared in the musical "Everything I Have Is Yours" (1952) with Marge Champion, the Carleton Carpenter comedy "Sky Full of Moon" (1952) and the Robert Ryan drama "Inferno" (1953). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Clark Gable adventure "Soldier of Fortune" (1955), "The Road to Denver" (1955) and "The Left Hand of God" (1955). He also appeared in the Van Heflin period drama "Count Three and Pray" (1955). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The 30-Foot Bride of Candy Rock" (1959), the Orson Welles suspenseful adaptation "Compulsion" (1959) and "The Story on Page One" (1960) with Rita Hayworth. He also appeared in "Wake Me When It's Over" (1960) with Ernie Kovacs and the biopic "The Gallant Hours" (1960) with James Cagney. Burton was most recently credited in "Pacific Heights" (1990). Burton was married to Karen Black. Burton passed away in September 1962 at the age of 67.
