Amazon Rasta

AmazonRasta is a documentary 'RoadMovie' that follows the musical and spiritual journeys of Carlos Pereira Marques, the RasKadhu, born in São Paulo, the Brazilian Babylon. He is a musician and composer, leader of the band JahiRas and seeks affirmations that he has in his music and in his paths within the Amazon Rainforest with the teachings of Santo Daime and Ethiopia with the Rastafarian teachings. RasKadhu's journeys through these diverse worlds provide surprising and exciting connections. Rasta culture brings a natural way of living. Daime is a spiritual journey connected in nature. In search of its spiritual blessings, Ras Kadhu goes to: Amazonia, in contact with an original Santo Daime community, founded by Padrinho Sebastião; Ethiopia, in contact with an original Rastafarian community, interviewing historical characters; Chile, in a performance with their songs at LollaPallooza; and in São Paulo showing its origins and its Rastafarian and Daimist representation with its community.
