André Penvern

Andre Penvern was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Penvern's earliest roles were in film, including the Jean-Louis Trintignant thriller "Les Passagers" (1977), "March Or Die" (1977) and "The Dogs of War" (1980). He also appeared in the comedy "Cheech and Chong's The Corsican Brothers" (1984) with Cheech Marin, "The Holcroft Covenant" (1985) with Michael Caine and the Marianne Basler dramatic adaptation "Les Noces barbares" (1987). His film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like the comedy "May Wine" (1990) with Joanna Cassidy, the Jacques Dufilho historical drama "Petain" (1993) and the dramatic adaptation "La Vie de Boheme" (1993) with Matti Pellonpaa. He also appeared in the drama "In the Eye of the Snake" (1993) with Malcolm McDowell. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Les Parasites" (1999), the comedic adventure "Amazone" (2000) with Jean-Paul Belmondo and "Vidocq" (2001) with Gérard Depardieu. He also appeared in the action picture "Brotherhood of the Wolf" (2002) with Samuel Le Bihan and the Jean Reno crime sequel "Las Rivieres Pourpres 2: Les Anges de L'Apocalypse" (2005). Most recently, Penvern acted in "Paulette" (2015).
