Casey Abrams

Season 10 "American Idol" (Fox, 2002-16) contestant Casey Abrams was born in Austin, TX, but grew up in Wilmette, IL. He began playing musical instruments at a very young age, including the electric bass, keyboards, guitar, clarinet, guitar and accordion. Post-Hollywood rounds, 20-year-old Abrams was hospitalized with a stomach ailment and it was not certain for a time if he could continue with the show, but the raspy-voiced singer came back strong to perform on the big stage as one of the Top 13 finalists.
