Elle Downs

Elle Downs (pronounced "Ellie") is a Canadian actress who has appeared in film and television since 1996. Downs was born in Toronto, Ontario, and is a sixth generation Canadian of African Canadian and Native American (Cherokee Indian) descent. Her father was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She won the title of Miss Black Canada and went on to become a popular supporting actress in many Toronto-based films and series. In 2000, Elle became the box office manager for the Toronto International Film Festival, and worked in a supervisory position for subsequent Festivals.
