Frank Chase

Frank Chase was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Chase's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as the Jeff Chandler action film "Red Ball Express" (1952), the action picture "Saskatchewan" (1954) with Alan Ladd and "Man Without a Star" (1955) with Kirk Douglas. He also appeared in the Peggie Castle drama "Beginning of the End" (1957). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the comedy adaptation "Joe Butterfly" (1957) with Burgess Meredith, the James Stewart western "Night Passage" (1957) and the horror flick "Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman" (1958) with Allison Hayes. He also appeared in "Ride a Crooked Trail" (1958). During the latter half of his career, Chase shifted to television work, penning scripts for "Bonanza" (1959-1973), "Route 66" (CBS, 1960-64) and "Branded" (NBC, 1964-66). Chase more recently wrote the Martin Milner adventure "Sullivan's Empire" (1967).
