Oona Laurence

Oona Laurence was born, in New York. Young Laurence took to the stage almost instantly, exploring roles big and small in a variety of theatrical productions. Soon enough, she set her sights on the screen, beginning with an episode of the paranormal documentary series "Celebrity Ghost Stories" (HBO 2009-2013). Laurence accrued additional television spots, such as an episode of the cult favorite comedy show "Louie" (FX 2010-), as well as a number of film shorts, including "Wet Cement" (2012), "Penny Dreadful" (2013), and "Tumorhead" (2014), before launching to the big screen. Laurence made her film debut in "A Little Game" (2014), a family film also featuring Janeane Garofalo, Rachel Dratch, F. Murray Abraham, and Ralph Macchio. A number of high-profile films followed for Laurence. She appeared in the Sarah Silverman-led depression drama "I Smile Back" (2015) and Jake Gyllenhaal's boxing movie "Southpaw" (2015). Laurence also nabbed a role in an episode of the popular comedy-drama series "Orange Is the New Black" (Netflix 2013-). Laurence's first starring position came with the drama film "Lamb" (2016), in which she played an abandoned young girl discovering the world anew with a strange man who finds her.
