Kyle T. Heffner

Actor Kyle Heffner began his career at an early age. Realizing his acting potential, the Chicago native's parents enrolled him when he was 11 years old in a children's theater, and he soon began appearing in various television commercials. Heffner attended Northwestern University, and upon graduation moved to Los Angeles to pursue a full-time career in acting. He caught his big break when he met director Garry Marshall, who cast Heffner in the 1982 comedy "Young Doctors in Love," Marshall's first film. The following year, the actor made a guest appearance in the popular television sitcom "The Facts of Life" and joined the cast of the romantic drama "Flashdance" as an aspiring stand-up comedian and close friend of the protagonist. In 1985, Heffner tried his hand at thrillers, making an appearance in "Runaway Train" as a dispatcher dealing with an out-of-control train in Alaska. Heffner has also taken on small roles in films such as the romantic comedies "The Woman in Red" in 1984 and " When Harry Met Sally. ." in 1989 and the thriller "Spellbinder" in 1988. He has also appeared in guest roles in numerous television series, including "Seinfeld" and "Desperate Housewives," and had a recurring role in the sitcom "Suddenly Susan."
