Simon Taufique

Simon TaufiQue was born in London, UK. He is a producer and composer, known for Imperium (2016), She's Lost Control (2015), and Jesus Henry Christ (2013). Simon is also a former film festival program director (SAIFF) and created the world's first online Helpdesk as founder of the prize-winning tech startup, greenButton.com. He recently produced and scored additional music for IMPERIUM (Lionsgate), starring Daniel Radcliffe and Toni Collette. He also co-produced and scored SHE'S LOST CONTROL (with Executive Producer and Academy Nominee Oren Moverman), nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards and winner of the C.I.C.A.E Forum prize at the 2014 Berlin Film Festival. The film had its US premiere at SXSW before screening at New Directors/New Films. Prior to that, Simon worked with several iconic directors, including M. Night Shyamalan, Mary Harron (AMERICAN PSYCHO), and Independent Spirit Award nominee Hossein Keshavarz (DOG SWEAT). As a film composer, Simon was a Sundance Lab Finalist and garnered press from Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, NME, Spin Magazine and IndieWire for his collaborations with artists such as Julian Casablancas (frontman for THE STROKES), Grammy-winner David Torn (LARS & THE REAL GIRL), with whom Simon co-composed music for JESUS HENRY CHRIST (starring Oscar-nominee Toni Collette and executive produced by Julia Roberts). Recently, Simon was invited to join the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival Programming Committee.
