The End of the Beginning

S2, E8: Marie Antoinette struggles to support Louis's rule in the face of a more personal tragedy and the relentless advance of the people's revolution. When an Estates General is held for the first time in over 100 years, it deals a devastating blow to Louis' absolutism. With Louis overwhelmed by depression, Marie Antoinette steps up and rules bravely in his place.
