Because We Are

When the suspicious shooting of a teenaged gay black female sends ripples through an urban community, the father of the victim, Isaiah Franklin, seemingly dives into a state of complacency. Behind a police cover up in a corrupt police department, her shooting is reported to be the result of “gang violence”. Three years after the shooting was swept under the rug, officer Greg Connors who has a very checkered history on the force, is on the job one day and has his cruiser hacked anonymously. A mysterious voice patched through his radio and demands that Connors complies with his instructions, with the threat that his life is at risk with a bomb strapped to his cruiser.
