Between Wars

Dr. Edward Trenbow (Corin Redgrave) is a veteran of World War I and a forward-thinking Australian psychiatrist. A peer of distinguished intellectuals such as Karl Schneider (Günter Meisner), Trenbow works at a mental institution and begins to develop new psychoanalytical treatments, especially in regards to traumatized war vets. However, Trenbow's progressive methods meet with resistance from the status quo, particularly in the conservative medical community.
