Academy Award winner Humphrey Bogart stars as a man in a desperate game of cat and mouse to keep the police from finding the evidence that he murdered his wife in Conflict. Richard Mason (Bogart--Casablanca, The African Queen) seems to have committed the perfect murder when he kills his wife, Kathryn (Rose Herbert--The Farmer's Daughter), so he can marry the woman he really loves, Kathryn's sister, Evelyn (Alexis Smith--The Young Philadelphians). But Mason inadvertently reveals too much to Dr. Mark Hamilton (Sydney Greenstreet--The Maltese Falcon, Christmas in Connecticut).
