In a small coastal village in New Brunswick, a group of friends are adrift and trying to find their footing. Their lives are upended when the local sawmill closes after a strike. The rupture forces them to reluctantly confront their identities, their roles and their place in a community teetering on the brink. In his debut feature film, Rodrigue Jean brings a deft and sensitive eye to the unease and solitude of small-town youth at the close of the twentieth century, at the edges of a world in flux.
