Academy Award winners Norma Shearer and George Sanders star with Robert Taylor in a big-screen adaptation of Jacque Deval's classic stage farce, Dans sa candeur naïve, Her Cardboard Lover. When wealthy Consuelo Croyden (Shearer--The Women) starts to think her boyfriend, Tony Barling (Sanders--All About Eve), is losing interest in her, she orders her personal secretary, Terry Trindale (Taylor--Ivanhoe), to pretend to court her and make jealous ... an assignment that Trindale, who has secretly been in love with Croyden for years, has no problem fulfilling!
