A man's life falls apart when his pregnant wife dies without anyone noticing her suffering. Overwhelmed by guilt and grief, he slowly loses his mental balance and begins drifting toward madness. As villagers start blaming supernatural forces and superstition spreads, one determined effort tries to rely on science and reason to save the broken man before it is too late.
