Mind and Machine

The year is 2024 and humanoid robots have become common in society. In addition to being servants and helpers, these androids are exploited by criminal organizations as well. The mob has started using them as prostitutes. However, their capabilities are still very limited which is why crime boss Isaac Lynch has hired some of the smartest engineers in the world to hack these droids. Under the supervision of Lynch, engineer Leo Cameron builds a sentient, female robot named Maya. She is the first of her kind – an artificially intelligent machine that can think and feel on its own. For Lynch, she’s something completely different though. She’s a weapon. While Leo is hesitant about her existence, Lynch intends to use her as a contract killer. Maya realizes this and begins to devise plans of her own -- plans that both Leo and Lynch could have never expected. Although she was built as a tool for murder, Maya has no intention of being controlled by the men who created her.
