The violent endeavor brings Villa north to New Mexico, where he battles a group of determined American soldiers led by the no-nonsense Col. Wilcox (Chuck Connors), and endures unanticipated mishaps and bad fortune, including a double-cross by his friend and partner, Scotty (Clint Walker).
