Stray Dogs

When a lonely man's beloved dog passes, and his older brother misses the heart-wrenching moment, he demands his brother join him on a backpacking trip to Juniper Falls to bury his dog where he found him. The journey begins but their fractured relationship worsens as they struggle through snowy mountains and rough terrain. Just as they're about to turn around, they encounter an odd but friendly wanderer who offers to help them on their quest. They're finally hitting their stride when they cross paths with a Ranger who's on the lookout for a killer on the run, and they start to wonder whether this friendly stranger can really be trusted. The stranger appears to be weaseling his way between the brothers but ends up bringing them closer together. When the finish line is in sight, someone dies and their world gets turned upside down. The brothers must rise-up and unite to defeat the killer in order to finish the mission and bury their beloved dog.
