Rémi and Odette have skipped town to the Magdalen Islands with $5000, the entire payroll for their marching band. Their dream: California. But they are not about to reach their dreamland. Accompanied by another couple, Rémi and Odette barely get past the border into the State of Maine, when they have to start singing for their supper once more.
