Edge of the City

Sidney Poitier and John Cassavetes star as Tommy Tyler and Axel North, an African American man and the white army deserter who become friends in this hard-hitting drama. When their bigoted union boss kills Tommy and blackmails Axel to keep his secret, Axel must decide whether to live in fear--allowing his friend's murderer to go free--or to go to the police and face prison himself.
